Retail Expertise

Retail Ireland Skillnet (RIS) is Ireland’s leading body for retail education and training. RIS has been developed to address the retail education and training needs of those operating in the retail sector. Since our foundation in 2000, we have delivered certified work based learning programmes to over 14,000 people working in retail.

We are governed by a strong steering committee comprised of representatives from: Brown Thomas, Heatons, Easons, BWG Foods, Mothercare, Kilkenny, Tesco Ireland, Ibec, Woodies DIY, and Letterkenny Institute of Technology that meet 6 times per year. All our training programmes have been designed in consultation with retail practitioners.
